Ministry of Health on February 11th, 2019, through a Ministerial Order No :004/2019 established a Steering Committee (SC) and Technical Working Group (TWG) for establishment of South Sudan Public Health Institute (SSPHI). The technical working group was decreed to provide oversight and stewardship for the establishment of the institute.
From a committee to a visible physical office. The first SSPHI office door was opened in the MOH on 3rd of January 2022 in a small prefab. The temporary structure first started with 7 Staffs (Director, Epidemiologist, Public Health Specialist, Training Coordinator, Training Officer, M&E officer and Technical Advisor.
